5 Ways to Quickly Create Content to Build an Audience – Part 2

By Leave a Comment

Creating content is a sure-fire way to build an audience and establish authority. In this article, I am going to share how to repurpose your content to reach more people and build your audience faster!

Creating content takes time. Creating exceptional content that establishes your expertise should be part of your normal routine.

How can you create new content by leveraging the content that you have already created?

The answer is to repurpose the content that you are already creating so you can share it in different ways to reach new people.

Here are my 5 favorite ways to repurpose content to build your audience.

  • Create Audio Content From Videos
This is one of the easiest types of content to create. It’s super simple if you have any video editing software program. My favorite video editing program is Sony Vegas. Most video editing programs will let you detach the audio from the video.

Once you have detached the files, then just delete the video and leave only the audio. Save the file as an mp3, and it can be used as a podcast episode or an audio file on your site.

  • Turn Audio Files into Articles.
This can take some practice. But often it is faster to read than type. So, by speaking into a mic, you can create two separate pieces of content and article and an mp3.
Keep in mind most voice-overs average about 150 words per minute. So, if you need a 1,200 word article, then you will need about an 8-minute audio recording.

Once you have finished the audio recording, it’s easy to create the article by uploading the mp3 file to a site like www.Rev.com or my favorite site www.Speechpad.com and get a transcription. Once you have the transcription, then you may need to edit, fine-tune and format the document to create the final article.

  • Use the Bullet Points within Essays for Facebook Lives
This is another easy way to create new content. Often, we put a lot of time, effort, and energy into creating articles. Frequently I think “How can I use this article to create more new content?” Sometimes it’s hard to decide on a topic for Facebook Lives. The bullet points within an article are perfect for Facebook Lives. If you want to do a 10-minute Facebook Live and there are 3 bullet points, then you only need to speak about each bullet point for 3 1/3 minutes.

If you do a Facebook Live once a week, instead of creating new topics, talk about the bullet points in one of your articles.

  • Create Images and Graphics from Article Content
This can take some graphic design skills, but with tools like my favorite graphic design program Youzign it’s super easy.

Infographics – Let’s say your article is 7 Ways to Profit From a Book. The easiest way to create the infographic is to cut and paste each of the 7 ways listed in the article into graphics software. If you don’t want to create the graphic yourself, then you can outsource it to a virtual assistant or someone on Fiverr.

Once you create the infographic, you can post it on social media, Pinterest, in the article on your site, etc.

Quote Posts – are another easy way to create images and graphics from articles. This can be outsourced to a virtual assistant also. The easiest way to do this is to have someone go through each article you write and save important statements from each article. These can then be used to create social media quote posts.

  • Use Videos to Create Audio, Articles, Infographics, Social Media Posts, etc.
This is the fastest way to create content!

Essentially, we are going to combine all of the techniques from above to create a wide variety of content from one video.

First, create a video that is at least long enough to create your average length blog post. It can be a Facebook live, a video for YouTube, a PowerPoint screen capture video or any other type of video.

Next, strip the audio to create the mp3.

Upload the mp3 to a transcription site to create an article.

Create infographics and quote posts from the article.

Tada! Congratulations, you just created one piece of content and turned it into no less than 6 pieces of content that you can post and cross promote all across the web to build your audience.

Next week I am going to have Part 3 of this series on how to use a blog to build your audience.

Next week’s article is going to be about how to promote your content to build your audience. So, make sure you read next week’s newsletter.
